PSALMS 119:69-74 --ARE YOU AN OVERCOMER?--

*Arrogant people have smeared me with lies, [yet] I obey your guiding principles with all my heart. *Their hearts are cold and insensitive, [yet] I am happy with your teachings. *It was GOOD that I had to SUFFER in order to learn your laws. *The teachings [that come] from your mouth are worth more to me than thousands in gold or silver. *Your hands created me and made me what I am. Help me understand so that I may learn your commandments. *Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, because my hope is based on your word.-PSALMS 119:69-74
—SOMETIMES WE GO THROUGH HARD THINGS BEFORE WE FIND OURSELVES IN CHRIST….. BUT WHEN WE DO, WE CAN BE UNSTOPPABLE!

The conjunctions used in these verses are very important! Instead of using AND, the word YET is used…. So he is saying that all these other people have come against me with lies, YET I am going to obey your words with ALL my heart and their hearts are bitter, cold, and insensitive to you Lord, YET I am happy with your teachings!
Verse 71 says *It was GOOD that I had to SUFFER in order to learn your laws.
Meaning that he had to go through a lot of junk to get to where God was leading him to. But he is happy that he did go through all of that because he found who he was suppose to be in the Lord.
David goes on saying that the teachings that come from the Lord are worth more to him than anything in the world could ever give him! (That’s a lot). And, saying that Your (the Lord’s) hands have made me what I am, help me understand so i can learn your commandments and be the man whom You have called me to be!! Don’t you want to be like that?!?!……
verse 74 - Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, because my hope is based on your word.
David is saying that he will be a shining light to the lost and the fearful… they will rejoice when they see him BECAUSE he has based his hope on the Word of the LORD
WE ARE ALL CALLED TO BE LIKE DAVID!! GO THROUGH WHAT LIFE THROWS AT US YET WE ARE HAPPY WITH WHAT THE LORD IS TEACHING US. AND BE GLAD THAT WE’VE HAVE DEALT WITH THINGS AND CAME THROUGH THEM TO LEARN AND GROW FOR THE GLORY OF YAHWEH! WE SHOULD WANT TO LEARN MORE AND MORE EACH DAY FROM GOD’S COMMANDMENTS (NOT JUST THE TEN YOU LEARN ABOUT IN SUNDAY SCHOOL), SO THAT WHEN UNBELIEVERS AND OTHERS SEE US AND THEIR HEARTS REJOICE BECAUSE THEY SEE CHRIST IN US AND LIVING THROUGH US….WHICH IN RETURN WILL DRAW THEM TO THE LORD!!

DO YOU WANT TO BE LIKE DAVID IN THESE VERSES OR DO YOU JUST WANT TO SIT BACK IN YOUR LITTLE CORNER WORRIED ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE MAY THINK ABOUT YOU FOR BEING DIFFERENT??
